Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN: Lane restrictions on Ballyogan Road in Leopardstown, between 7.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day, for road excavation works to lay gas mains. A traffic management plan will be in operation.
One-way system in operation on Deansgrange Rd from Stradbrook Rd to Kill Lane, expect delays at rush hour. Southbound traffic diverted via Stradbrook Road, Abbey Road and Kill Lane. A traffic management plan will be in operation and diversions signposted. Parking facilities restricted.
On Friday at 8 p.m. part of Barnhill Rd will be closed between Castlepark Road and Barnhill Ave, for ESB works as part of the DART Upgrade works at Dalkey station. It will remain closed until 6 a.m. on Monday, August 30th. Local access will be maintained at all times. The alternative route will be via Castlepark Rd, Breffni Rd and Ulverton Rd and vice versa.
KILDARE: Works on N9 in Castledermot with stop/go system, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., traffic lights from 6 p.m. overnight, for archaeological pre-dig before drainage works. Use alternative route if possible.
MEATH: Major works in northbound lane of N2 north of Ashbourne until 7 p.m. Resurfacing works on N2 south of Ashbourne, southbound lane. Expect delays.
WESTMEATH: Traffic lane on Mullingar bypass closed westbound for resurfacing. Lane restrictions westbound on N4 Mullingar bypass. Use old Dublin Rd in Mullingar to avoid delays.
LAOIS: To complete Ballydavis interchange and the south tie-in of the M7 Heath Mayfield motorway, the following roads will be closed: 1. Raheen Road (L-3811) from M7 motorway off-ramp at Ballydavis interchange in townland of Ballydavis to junction at the Old Post Office in townland of Raheenahoran. Access for residents along this section of road shall be maintained from the Old Post Office end only.
2. Existing M7 northbound on-ramp at Ballydavis interchange in townland of Ballydavis.
3. Existing M7 southbound off-ramp at Ballydavis interchange in the townland of Ballydavis.
GALWAY: Pipelaying on Barna to Galway Rd, R356, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., traffic down to one lane - expect delays.
LIMERICK: Works at Ballysimon Roundabout on N24 Tipperary Rd. The Ballysimon Roundabout will not be closed to traffic and through traffic will be maintained on N24.
WATERFORD: New roundabout being built at junction of Urseline Court and Inner Ring Road. Delays expected.
KERRY: Works on N70 Ballygamboon at Castlemaine. Stop/go system, single lane traffic.
CORK: Inbound traffic on Western Road diverted into Mardyke Walk due to resurfacing work.
Works on both Michael Collins Bridge and Eamon De Valera Bridge. Single lane traffic in both directions. Currently work on east side, then on the west side. Major delays likely.
