Yamaha models set for sale
ACCORDING TO reports from MCNmagazine, Yamaha is preparing to release both the Yamaha FZ8 and Yamaha Super Ténéré for sale this summer.

"The FZ8 will be seen later this year, along with the Super Ténéré which will be a good thing for increasing interest in new bikes, and these bikes will hopefully stir up some important sales in 2010," said a Yamaha's spokesperson.

The FZ8 is a sporty middleweight bike, with a 998c four-cylinder engine.

And, according to MCN, "will be replacing the smaller-capacity FZ6 models as a sporty middleweight..."

The Super Ténéré features boxy off-road-styled panniers and is rumoured to set to go head-to-head with the BMW R1200GS.

Bike collection under hammer

MORE THAN 100 pre-1950 motorcycles from a Spanish collector are set to go under the hammer for Bonhams auction house at the RAF Museum in Hendon, England on February 27th.

The Pamplona Motorcycle Collection, assembled by a prominent Spanish private collector, includes four-cylinder models from Ace, Cleveland, Excelsior, FN, Henderson, Indian, Nimbus and Zündapp.

It also includes an impressive collection of V-twin engines, from Harley-Davidson, Sunbeam, Vincent, Motosacoche, Peugeot, Matchless, BSA and Brough Superior in the form of a 1931 SS100. A range of rare marques is also represented.
