TEMPLE Bar is to get yet another hotel. An Bord Pleanala has cleared the way for a 60-bedroom hotel at 18 Fleet Street and 7/8 Prices Lane, Dublin 2.

The hotel business at Dublin Airport is expected to take a new turn with the decision to grant planning permission to Great Southern Hotels for a five-storey hotel close to the Forte Crest Hotel. GSH, a subsidiary of Aer Rianta, plans to provide 147 bedrooms, bar, restaurant and conference facilities.

Meanwhile, Dublin Corporation has approved of a planning application by Muraymac to provide a four-storey over ground floor and basement extension at 83/84 Parnell Street to accommodate a hotel foyer, 26 bedrooms and additional space for a nightclub.

In north Dublin, Mannix Smith, senior, of Lissadell, Swords Road, Malahide, has secured planning approval for a nine-hole golf course, driving range and clubhouse.
