Green light to Proby Square plan:O'Malley Homes has been granted planning permission by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council for a development (above) at Proby Square, Blackrock which will involve demolishing the former McLysaght nursery buildings and constructing 27 three-storey houses.
They will include a mix of four-bedroom terraced, five-bedroom end-of-terrace and four-bedroom detached houses. O'Malley Homes, which bought the site last autumn, is also looking for 54 surface car-parking spaces on the rectangular two-acre site. Pedestrian access is off Proby square.
Mixed-use scheme for AnnesleyMotors site in Ballybough: The Maybourne Company is looking to demolish Annesley Motors in Ballybough, Dublin 3 and build a six-storey over basement commercial building with basement car-parking, six ground floor retail/commercial units, 12 medical consultancy rooms, media-related business units, 46 apartments and four two-storey townhouses to the rear of the main building.
Apartments for Kilmacud House: One of the biggest providers of accommodation to asylum seekers in the State - the Victory Christian Fellowship - is looking to build 38 apartments and refurbish Kilmacud House in Stillorgan, Co Dublin. This would involve demolishing the 1950s extension to the house, and converting it into six residential units in a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, and two blocks of apartments. The fellowship was previously refused permission by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to refurbish and extend Kilmacud House and build 44 apartments.
97 apartments for D18 site: Woodbridge Developments is looking for permission from Dublin City Council for an affordable housing scheme at Harolds Grange Road in Dublin 18 on a 1.9-acre site. The development comprises 97 apartments in a five-storey block with a penthouse level. There would be a new vehicular access onto the public road and 106 car-parking spaces.
