Dublin 9/from €230,000: Apartments in a parkland setting in Dublin 9 go on sale from plans today through Gunne New Homes. A marketing suite will be open from today till Sunday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Northwood Park, Dublin 9, where the plans will be on view.
Parkview is a development of 254 apartments, duplexes and townhouses, to be built in the environment of the park, close to the proposed metro at Ballymun and about 8kms from the city centre.
Forty apartments and duplexes are being sold in the initial phase, although more will be released if this sells out quickly, assures the selling agent.
Completion of phase one is scheduled for summer 2007. Plans for the rejuvenation of the park are comprehensive and will add greatly to the surroundings as the development matures. Pre-construction prices will appeal to first-time buyers and investors. One-bedroom apartments of 44-57sq m (474-614sq ft) start at €230,000. Two-bedroom apartments of 72-102sq m (773-1,098sq ft) cost from €295,000. Three-bedroom duplexes with 98sq m (1,055sq ft) of space are priced from €365,000.
Developer Lyndonbarry has come up with a good standard spec at Parkview. Apartment balconies will be decked, high gloss kitchens with walnut-look worktops will have a full range of appliances and floor tiling. Some duplexes and apartments will include an en suite shower room and wardrobes are also part of the package.
Internal doors will be fitted with contemporary chrome handles and walls will be painted throughout. Surface car-parking will be provided.
Apartments will have a communal landscaped courtyard, to complement the parkland surroundings. Central heating will be natural gas. Developer Lyndonbarry has a strong track record in new homes building, with Temple Court and Lymewood Mews in Northwood, Dublin 9 among the company's best-known schemes.
