Shankill from €365,000: Free Eircom broadband for one year plus a cordless phone are included in the purchase price at a small six-unit apartment block in the heart of Shankill village.

Launching for the first time at noon today, the developer responsible for Osprey Court is Osprey Property, which is a subsidiary of Eircom.

Five apartments are two-bedroom units of 74-93sq m (745-795sq ft) with prices starting at €365,000. A one-bed apartment of 57sq m (620sq ft) costs €300,000.

Selling agent Hooke & MacDonald will be taking bookings at show units, which are on view today and Friday from noon to 2pm and on Saturday from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

The architect is Frank Crowley & Partners and the builder is William Byrne & Co.

The three-storey block's exterior is a blend of hardwood and stone cladding, with large windows to maximise light.

Some upper floors have good views of the Sugarloaf and Wicklow hills.

Interior specification is good, with plenty of kitchen units and wall tiling, tiled bathrooms and fitted wardrobes. Central heating is electric.

Residents have the use of a communal landscaped terrace. Lifts will service all floors from the car-park, where a space is reserved for each apartment.

With the Dart a short walk and a good bus service to the city, commuters at Osprey Court are likely to prefer public transport however.

Construction work at Osprey Court is nearing completion and owners can expect to move in within six weeks, according to the agent.
