ROHCON is seeking a revised planning permission for a proposed development alongside a new central fire brigade headquarters in Tara Street, Dublin 2. After being refused permission for a multi-storey car-park on part of the site, Rohcon has now lodged a planning application for four shops at ground floor level and 57 apartments in five upper floors. Dublin Corporation has already granted permission for an £8 million hotel. Rohcon has entered into an agreement to pay the Corporation £1 million for the hotel and apartment site in return for building a £3.5 million fire station. A separate underground car-park with 90 spaces will be for use of the fire station and hotel.
