The Customs House on the main street of Baltimore is being sold as a going concern by owners Ian Parr and Susan Holland who have run it for eight years, opening only for the months of June, July and August.

It's currently listed in a number of restaurant guides, including Bridgestone and Michelin. New owners will have the option to run a restaurant, though it could also convert to a guest house, shop, or home, subject to planning permission.

The entire ground floor of the 190sq m (2,045sq ft) terraced house is given over to the diningroom, kitchen and store areas, while upstairs there are five bedrooms.

Built in 1900 the handsome double fronted house has been modernised in recent years, though it has kept many of its original features.

Behind the house is a good-sized sheltered back garden with rear access and enough room to park a car or store a boat.

Baltimore is a busy village throughout the summer, and it also gets a reasonable winter trade with affluent weekenders from Cork and Dublin using their holiday homes in the area. It's a around an hour and a half's drive from Cork, and seven miles from Skibbereen.
