DÚN LAOGHAIRE RATHDOWN - APPLICATIONS

Location: sites known as McCambridges, Arkle Road/Carmanhall Road and The Courtyard, Carmanhall Road/Ballymoss Road, Sandyford Industrial Estate, Dublin 18. Proposed development: demolish all warehouse-type structures on site for a five to eight-storey office building to include a café at ground floor level and roof terraces at fifth and sixth floors with basement car-parking for 260 cars, 31 motor bike spaces and refuse stores, and eight off-street parallel parking spaces to Carmanhall Road, landscaping and site development works. DECISION TO GRANT

Location: Riverside Cottage, Kilgobbin Road, Newtown Little, Stepaside, Co Dublin. Proposed development: demolish house for eight detached dwellings (seven three storey five-bedroom units, one two-storey four-bedroom unit), 26 apartments (20 two-bedroom units and six three-bedroom units) in a single three and four-storey block. DECISION TO REFUSE

Location: site at the north-eastern corner of demesne, adjacent to the "Crazy Gate", Luttrellstown Golf Club, Luttrellstown Castle Demesne, Castleknock, Dublin 15. Proposed development: golf academy building consisting of driving bays and accommodation (reception, toilets, office, ball wash area, workshop) with all landscaping and associated site development works. SOUTH DUBLIN - APPLICATIONS

Location: site of former Greenhills Shopping Arcade, St James' Road, Dublin 12. Proposed development: three-storey mixed-use scheme consisting of a basement level car-park, seven retail units and a medical centre, 10 one-bedroom units and 10 two-bedroom units and one three-bedroom unit, provision of private and public amenity space. Location: site at Baldonnel Road, Baldonnel Lower, Dublin 22. Proposed development: three blocks comprising 34 light industrial/warehouse units with a total area of 7,911sq m (85,153sq ft), 235 car-parking spaces, landscaping and associated site works. Applicant: Holsten Property Company Ltd.

DECISION TO GRANT

Location: site bounded by Main Street, the Shopping Mall Road and Tay Lane, Rathcoole, Co Dublin. Proposed development: demolish single-storey structures attached to Glebe House and nearby single-storey shopping mall and assorted structures for three new blocks. Block A: two-storey plus attic residential (two one-bedroom and 14 two-bedroom units) over ground floor retail units (six units). Block C: one-storey plus attic residential (six two-bedroom units) over ground floor part residential (five two-bedroom units) and part retail. Location: the Gate Lodge, Pearse Museum, St Endas, Grange Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16. Proposed development: single storey kitchen extension to the east side of lodge, several reversible interior alterations to provide disabled access, works to reinstate the previous architectural character and the reduction of ground levels at the south and west. DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL - APPLICATIONS

Location: 4, 6 and 8 Burlington Road, Dublin 4. Proposed development: demolish 4, 6 and 8 Burlington Road for two office blocks, one is eight storeys with a nine-storey atrium and the other is four to seven storeys. The proposal is also for a basement car-park with 100 spaces and a courtyard between the two blocks and between block two and Waterloo Lane. Applicant: Coolbrook Developments.

Location: Leinster House, Kildare Street, Dublin 2. Proposed development: demolish shop at Leinster House, Kildare Street, Dublin 2, a protected structure, and construct a single storey shop within a glass pavilion. Location: site at junction of Ballymun Road and Santry Avenue, Ballymun, Dublin 11. Proposed development: mixed-use development on a site of 0.1169 hectares, including the construction of a five-storey block with a six-storey corner element with a maximum height of 21.5 metres. The development comprises five retail/service units and 26 apartments. Applicant: Genetic Developments.

Location: 84 North King Street, and 61--65 North Brunswick Street, Dublin 7. Proposed development: four to six-storey blocks in a mixed use co-operative development with 44 apartments, a retail/office unit, management office, service rooms and bin storage. Applicant: The National Association of Building Co-operatives (NABCo).

Location: Islandbridge Gate Lodge, Island Bridge Entrance, Phoenix Park, Dublin 8. Proposed development: the conservation and refurbishment of the Island Bridge Gate Lodge, which is a protected structure, consisting of a detached two-storey house with pedestrian access gate with front yard and side and rear gardens. Applicant: The Commissioners for Public Works.

Location: former ESB lands at Stormanstown House, Ballymun, Dublin 11. Proposed development: demolition of two-storey office building, plant and warehouses for 61 dwellings in two blocks and basement car-parking for 76 cars. Site development works to provide for landscaped internal courtyard, private gardens, communal areas and children's play area and provision of a new loading bay on Ballymun Road. Applicants: Paddy O'Connell and Pat Carr.

Location: Littlegrove, Milltown Road, Dublin 8. Proposed development: demolition of single storey development for a five-storey residential block with four storeys plus a set back level. The development will comprise 12 two-bedroom apartments and 20 car-parking spaces and 21 bicycle spaces. New pedestrian entrance off Milltown Road and widening of vehicular entrance off Milltown Road. Applicant: Frank Gilmer.

Location: Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland, 8 Merrion Square, Dublin 2. Proposed development: change of use of the front ground floor room of 8 Merrion Square, Dublin 2 to protected structure from its previous use as a library/bookshop/sales outlet to use as a café.
