Nutley houses – on the lane, avenue and road – have always been popular with growing families. The Donnybrook location is a big draw and the houses, which started out as roomy 1950s-era semis with good gardens, tend to undergo renovation and extension when they change hands. Given what tends to happen to other houses in this Dublin 4 area when they sell – particularly ones that haven’t been updated in some time – it’s likely that new owners of number 19 will do work. There is potential to the side, to rework the garage area, and extend the attic, while the family bathroom is now dated.
