A private investor has bought Meagher's retail premises in the centre of Malahide village in Co Dublin

A private investor has bought Meagher's retail premises in the centre of Malahide village in Co Dublin. The guide price was £1.2 million (€1.52m). The freehold business has been owned by the same family for 42 years. Michael Conroy of Hamilton Osborne King, said they had indications that the premises could be rented for between £85,000 and £100,000 (€1076,927-€126,973), easily the highest in the village. The building was rebuilt in 1990 and is mainly open plan. Overhead accommodation is used as offices and storage.
