Lisney takes a colourful approach to new branch in Dundrum

Initiative of the week goes to Lisney for showing a bit of imagination for the launch of its new office in Dundrum, Dublin 14. Not for Lisney the standard grip-and-grin shot outside the new premises on Dundrum Main Street (opposite the Credit Union).

Instead they asked the children of Scoil Naithí Ballinteer to come up with their own interpretations of a dream house. The colourful results have now been compiled into a gorgeous presentation in the windows of the soon-to-open offices, under the heading “Is leor don dreoilín a nead” (Home is where the heart is).

The new branch is a statement of intent in the Dundrum area from Lisney, and they have appointed one of their star players to lead it. Darren Chambers, originally from Dundrum, has built a strong reputation at the helm of Lisney's Drumcondra office over the past 13 years. Lisney wouldn't have a particularly strong foothold in the Dundrum area, with a plentiful supply of local operators including Vinnie Finnegan, DNG and Sherry FitzGerald already well ensconced.

However, Darren says they’ll be building on properties in the area already on their books via the Leeson St and Terenure offices, and they will actively target business in Dundrum, Ballinteer, Stillorgan, Kilmacud, Stepaside and Churchtown.

Work begins in two weeks on what will be Lisney’s fifth Dublin office and the branch will open to the public after Easter. Meanwhile, the students of Scoil Naithí will receive a donation from Lisney towards its arts and crafts coffers.
