Howth house sells for around €5 million

SalesResults:Glenlion House on Thormanby Road, Howth - a three-bedroom house and chalet on 4.75 acres running down to the sea - has been sold for region €5 million through Ganly Walters.

The house is situated close to Baily Lighthouse and has panoramic views across Dublin Bay to Bray Head. The property was offered for sale by public tender on June 28th, 2006.

Meanwhile in Ringsend, developer Harry Crosbie has paid around €2.5 million for a penthouse apartment on the 15th and 16th floors of Millennium Tower. The apartment was sold by Lisney.

Elsewhere in Dublin 4, Ganly Walters secured €825,000 for 10 Sandford Avenue, Donnybrook, a two-bedroom townhouse which was withdrawn from auction last October.

In north County Dublin, a three-bed semi-detached house - 20 The Green, Melrose Park, Kinsealy - has sold for region €400,000 through Gunne Residential. Number 38 The Fairways, Seabrook Manor, Portmarnock, a two-bed ground floor apartment, has sold for over €420,000 through Gunne Residential.

Still in north County Dublin, a three-bed bungalow - 42 The Chantries, Balrothery, Co Dublin - sold for €530,000 through Gunne Residential.

The same agent secured over €520,000 for 41 Melesian Avenue, Swords, Co Dublin, a three-bed semi-detached house. A four-bed semi-detached house - 6 Melesian Grove, Swords - sold for region €530,000, also through Gunne Residential.

Lisney has sold a number of properties in Dublin 9. A five-bedroom detached house at 18 The Cloisters on Grace Park Road, Drumcondra, fetched around €1.5 million, while a four-bed semi-detached house - Ard Cairn, 86 Ballymun Road, Glasnevin - sold for €1.15 million.

The same agent secured region €515,000 for a two-bed mid-terrace townhouse at 15 Botanic Villas, Glasnevin, Dublin 9.

Also in Dublin 9, a three-bed semi-detached house at 11 Albert College Park, Drumcondra, sold for over €500,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.

A four-bed mid-terrace Victorian house - 259 Clonliffe Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 3 - sold for around €1.3 million through Lisney.

Meanwhile in Dublin 3, Savills Hamilton Osborne King secured around €740,000 for a three-bed end-terrace house at 110 Belgrove Park, Mount Prospect Lawns. A three-bed semi-detached house - 40 Clontarf Road - fetched €900,000 through the same agent.

In Dublin 6 sales, a period house in 10 units - 31 Leinster Road, Rathmines - has sold for over €1.8 million through Douglas Newman Good.

Also in Dublin 6, Lisney has sold an Edwardian house in seven units - 2 Garville Avenue, Rathgar - for €1.555 million. A four-bedroom house at 17 Leinster Park, Harolds Cross, sold for region €1.2 million through Lisney, and the same agent has sold another four-bed house - 40 Hazelbrook Road, Terenure, Dublin 6W - for €1.15 million.

A three-bed mid-terrace house at 43 St Enda's Road, Terenure, sold for €612,000, also through Lisney.

Still in Dublin 6, a four-bed mid-terrace house - 29 Maxwell Road, Rathgar - sold for around €1.28 million through Gunne Residential.

A three-bed semi-detached house at 32 Iveagh Gardens, Crumlin, Dublin 12, sold for over €585,000 through Douglas Newman Good.

In Dublin 16, a three-bed semi-detached house with site and full planning permission for a three-bed detached house - 34 Ballinteer Park, Ballinteer, Dublin 16 - sold for €925,000 through Lisney.

The same agent has sold a number of properties in Dublin 14: a three-bed mid-terrace house at 45 Brookfield, Terenure, sold for €680,000; and a three-bed townhouse at 17 Edenbrook Manor, Rathfarnham, sold for €565,000.

In Dublin 1, a two-bed apartment - Apartment 3, 47 Mountjoy Square - sold for over €520,000 through Sherry FitzGerald.

In Dublin 5 sales, a two-bed end-terrace house - 13 The Orchard, Killester - sold for region €485,000 through Savills Hamilton Osborne King, and the same agent secured over €700,000 for 77 Abbeyfield, Killester, a three-bed semi-detached bungalow.

Gunne Residential has sold 8 Ripley Hills, Bray, Co Wicklow, a three-bed semi-detached bungalow, for over €430,000.
