Sherry FitzGerald has sold a large Victorian house in Glenageary, Co Dublin, for a figure believed to be just over €7 million. Aylesbury, on Adelaide Road, is on an acre of grounds that includes a large Victorian-style coach-house. The house had been lavishly refurbished by its owners over a number of years and the grounds have been maintained to a high degree.
Elsewhere, estate agents are fairly busy even at this late stage of the year, with a number of high profile properties either sale agreed or sold in the last couple of weeks. Lisney has sold Evesham, a detached five-bedroom bungalow at the village end of Westminster Road in Foxrock, for a price believed to be in the region of €3.5million.
In Monkstown, HOK Residential has secured region €4 million for a large Victorian house at 14 Longford Terrace. The house was withdrawn from auction in June. Prior to auction it had an AMV of €3.75 million, while immediately after auction it was asking €4.25 million. The sale is an encouraging sign for the terrace where there are at least two similar properties for sale.
