River Gardens in Glasnevin is a small development of apartments and townhouses built over 10 years ago. The red-brick two-storey blocks were clearly built to blend in with the surroundings in that they are set back from the road, very well landscaped and designed not to look too out of place in the mature suburb. There is a high proportion of owner-occupiers and residents have the best garden in Ireland on their doorstep - the Botanic Gardens.
The River part of the name comes from the Tolka River which is in view of some of the apartments. Number 60 is currently on the market through Mason Estates who are guiding £140,000 (177,760) for the first-floor one-bedroom unit.
River Gardens was built before developers started squashing kitchens into the corner of living rooms so the apartment has a separate kitchen. There is a good sized bathroom and the livingroom opens out on to a balcony.
