In Dublin 2, a Victorian mid-terrace house, Carshalton, at 19 Harcourt Terrace, Dublin 2, was sold at a Lisney auction for a strong price of £570,000. The redbrick house, which is in need of total refurbishment, has two principal reception rooms, a breakfast room, five bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a large double garage to the rear, as well as an L-shaped garden with some outbuildings.

Closeby, Hamilton Osborne King fetched a price in excess of £180,000 in a private treaty sale for a one-bedroom apartment of 500 sq ft in a period building at 11 Harcourt Terrace. The price included an underground car parking space.

In Ballsbridge, 116 Lansdowne Park, a well-maintained three-bedroom redbrick mews house, was sold at auction for £385,000 through Lisney.

In Dublin 8, 55 Lombard Street West, a double-fronted two-bedroom house, was sold at auction for £284,500 through Sherry FitzGerald.

South Dublin

A three-bedroom penthouse apartment at 13 The Willows, 71 Rock Road, Blackrock, was sold at auction for £298,000 through the Gunne agency.

In Mount Merrion, a four-bedroom semi-detached house, Braeside, at 32 Greygates, was withdrawn at £280,000 and is under negotiation through Sherry FitzGerald.

In Monkstown, 19 Richmond Avenue, a four-bedroom semidetached house, was withdrawn by Jackson-Stops McCabe, which is quoting £310,000.

Also in Monkstown, 43 Belgrave Square, a two-storey over garden level Victorian house was withdrawn by Ganly Walters. The agents are now seeking offers in the region of £700,000 for the four-bedroom property.

A modern four-bedroom detached house at 8 Glengariff, Rochestown Avenue, Dun Laoghaire, was withdrawn at £325,000 and sold later for a higher figure through Douglas Newman Good.

A three-bedroom period house, Turnberry Cottage, at 27a Lower Albert Road, Sandycove, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £210,000.

Lisney secured £250,000 at auction for 8 Ulverton Road, Dalkey, a Victorian double-fronted detached three-bedroom house near the junction with Castle Street.

In Foxrock, Dublin 18, 19 Brighton Place, a four-bedroom detached house off Brighton Road, was withdrawn at £360,000 and is under negotiation through the Gunne agency.

Dublin 14 And 16

A six-bedroom detached house, Beechwood, currently run as a bed & breakfast, at 6 Butterfield Avenue, Rathfarnham, Dublin 14, was withdrawn at £340,000 and sold later for a higher figure by Gunne.

Also in Rathfarnham, 19 Ballytore Road, a semi-detached house was withdrawn by Lisney, which is quoting £310,000 In Churchtown, Dublin 14, Sherry FitzGerald secured £332,000 at auction for 11 Flemingstown Park, a detached four-bedroom bungalow in a cul-de-sac.

North Dublin

In Clontarf, a strong price of £494,000 was achieved at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for 142 Seafield Road East, a refurbished four-bedroom period house.

Elsewhere in Clontarf, a three-bedroom mid-terraced house at 322b Clontarf Road, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £220,000. In Raheny, Dublin 5, Tennyson House, at 660 Howth Road, a three-bedroom semi-detached house, was sold at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for £228,000. In Dublin 15, a detached two-bedroom bungalow, The Gate Lodge, at Allendale, was withdrawn by Lisney, which is now quoting a price of £120,000-plus.

Wicklow

A fire-damaged detached two-bedroom bungalow, Kenton, on Meath Road, Bray, was sold at auction for £170,000 by JacksonStops McCabe. The house, which needs extensive renovation, is near the DART station. A five-bedroom bungalow backing on to Greystones Golf Club at 38 Burnaby Park was withdrawn at £280,000 by JacksonStops McCabe, which is quoting £320,000.

Provincial

In Co Kildare, a stable yard with 27 loose boxes at Friarstown, The Curragh, was sold at auction for £350,000 through Colm McEvoy.

Commercial

A freehold commercial premises and spacious overhead two-bedroom apartment at 234/ 234A Merrion Road, Dublin 4, was sold at a Lisney auction for £835,000.

Off Lower Baggot Street, Trios restaurant, on Pembroke Row, was withdrawn by joint agents John Younge and Kenneally McAuliffe.

A 3,740 sq ft, four-storey over basement Georgian office building, at 51 Merrion Square, Dublin 2, was sold prior to auction for about £1.7 million by Gunne.

In Dublin 1, Doran's residential public house, Marlborough Street, was withdrawn at £1.3 million and is under negotiation through John Younge.

Also in Dublin 1, The Hide Out public house, at 1 Campbells Row, was withdrawn by John Younge, which is quoting over £450,000. In Deansgrange, the 3,440 sq ft Eastern Tandoori restaurant, at Kill Lane, was withdrawn by Brendan Walsh which is quoting £850,000. In Dundrum, Dublin 14, Hamilton Osborne King secured £1.35 million for a 4,744 sq ft single-storey school building with residential zoning at St Columbanus Road, Windy Arbour. The guide price was £450,000. A development site, with a three-bedroom bungalow, in Ratoath Village, Co Meath was sold at auction for £1,050,000 by Ronald Duff & Associates.

In Co Kildare, Keane's shop and filling station on 0.3 acres at Straffan was withdrawn at £270,000 and is under negotiation through Coonan.

In Mullingar, Co Westmeath, Hynes public house at Rathwire, Killucan, was sold at auction for £226,000 by Murray Auctioneers.
