John Weldon Auctioneers, Cows Lane, Temple Bar, Dublin. Auction of jewellery, watches, silver and medals at 2pm includes a collection of medals awarded to "J Brunt of the Royal Irish Constabulary" during the early 20th century for his efforts in tug-of-war competitions at various locations including Belfast, Balmoral, Ennis, Galway and Longford. Among them is silver and gold medal Brunt won with the Belfast RIC "A District" Tug-of-War team – winner of the Alhambra Shield during a police sports tournament in 1911 (€200-€400 ).
