AFTER RECENT record prices for art and antiques, buyers looking for more affordable works might find a bargain at tomorrow’s Sunday sale by de Veres at the D4Berkeley Hotel in Ballsbridge.
The sale will cater to “all tastes and budgets, from €5 to €2,000” with “major names in Irish art with greatly reduced estimates, many without reserve”, according to de Veres. The auction features work by Patrick Collins, Peter Collis, Thomas Ryan, Robert Taylor Carson, Desmond Hickey and Markey Robinson. Auctioneers John de Vere White and Rory Guthrie will be available for consultation at the viewing in the hotel from 10am today.
