A Dublin businessman has paid more than £3

A Dublin businessman has paid more than £3.5 million for one of the country's leading stud farms, Corbally House and Stud, at Celbridge, Co Kildare. Coonan Auctioneers and Lisney handled the sale.

The early 18th century house, along with 145 acres, was withdrawn at auction in October at £2.9 million. The stud has been owned and run for the past 27 years by veterinary surgeon Sean Collins and his wife, Henne, who are now scaling down their bloodstock interests.

Corbally has owned the well-known stallion Persian Bold, who sired 400 winners of 1,350 races worth over £13 million.

In Dublin sales, a four-bedroom detached house at 21 Eaton Square, Monkstown, was sold prior to auction for a price thought to be close to £500,000, by Lisney.

In Mount Merrion, a four-bedroom semi-detached house at 49 The Rise was sold at auction for £445,000 by Sherry FitzGerald.

A four-bedroom semi-detached house at 67 Glenomena Park, Blackrock, was sold at auction for £273,000 by Dunne Estates.

Dublin 2 and 4

In Ballsbridge, 126 Merrion Road, a four-bedroom detached house in need of modernisation was sold prior to auction for over the guide price of £750,000 through joint agents David Gill and Lisney.

A 2,400 sq ft semi-detached house in four flats at 13 Sandymount Avenue was withdrawn at £540,000 and sold later for a price in excess of £570,000 through Bennetts.

Dublin 6 and 8

A three-bedroom semi-detached house at 48 Terenure Road West, was sold at a Lisney auction for £425,000.

Elsewhere in Terenure, 2 Eaton Road, a four-bedroom terraced house, was withdrawn at £360,000 by Hamilton Osborne King, which is quoting £387,000.

A 10-room Victorian house at 57 Grosvenor Road, Rathgar, was withdrawn by Lisney, which is quoting £670,000.

A two-bedroom penthouse apartment at 25 St Kevin's Church, Bloomfield Avenue, Dublin 8, was withdrawn by Douglas Newman Good, which is quoting about £290,000.

Off the South Circular Road, a two-bedroom villa-style house at 11 Lombard Street West was withdrawn and sold later for over £250,000 by Sherry FitzGerald.

In Kilmainham, a three-bedroom semi-detached house at 724 South Circular Road was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £275,000.

Still in Dublin 8, 1 Kingsland Parade, Portobello, was withdrawn at £325,000 and sold later for a higher price through Douglas Newman Good.

Dublin 14 and 16

North Dublin

In Malahide, Whispering Pines, a four-bedroom bungalow on the Swords Road, was sold at a Gunne auction for £455,000.

Gunne secured £415,000 at auction for 131 Clontarf Road, a four-bedroom Tudor-style semidetached house.

Also in Clontarf, a three-bedroom bungalow, Moyne, at 51 Mount Prospect Avenue, was withdrawn at £375,000 by Lisney which sold it later for "well over" the guide price of £450,000.

In Skerries, Co Dublin, a cottage at 18/19 Thomas Hand Street fetched £185,000 through Douglas Newman Good.

A property at Harbour View, Loughshinny, was auctioned in two lots by Douglas Newman Good. Lot 1: a thatched bungalow was withdrawn, now quoting £140,000. Lot 2: a half-acre plot was withdrawn and sold later.

Wicklow

In Kilcoole, a four-bedroom bungalow on an acre, Ternstone, at Sea Road, was sold at auction for £407,500 by JacksonStops McCabe.

In Enniskerry, a one-bedroom mews house, Arch Mews, Church Hill, was withdrawn at £135,000 and is under negotiation through Toole McKay.

Provincial

In Co Galway, 50 acres on the Sky Road, New Line, Clifden, was sold at auction for a total price of £500,000 through Heaslips.

In Galway city, a four-bedroom semi-detached house at 67 Dalysfort Road, Salthill, was sold at auction for £193,000 through O'Donnellan and Joyce.

The same agent sold a three-bedroom bungalow at Oranswell, Bushy Park at auction for £188,000.

A four-bedroom house on 0.5 acres, Woodstock Lodge, Athy, Co Kildare, was withdrawn by J P & M Doyle, which is quoting £350,000.

A two-storey derelict cottage at 38 Maynooth Road, Celbridge, Co Kildare, was withdrawn at £85,000 and sold later for a higher price through McDonald Bros.

Also in Co Kildare, a four-bedroom detached house on 0.33 acres at Great Connell, Newbridge, was withdrawn by John J Delaney & Sons, which is quoting £280,000.

A four-bedroom farmhouse, Odder, on an acre at Tara, Co Meath, was sold at auction for £350,000 through Raymond Potterton.

A cottage on an acre in need of repair at Rathleek, Dunboyne, Co Meath, was sold at auction for £174,000 through Sherry & Associates.

A three-bedroom farmhouse at Seymourstown, Carnaross, Kells, was withdrawn and is under negotiation through Armstrong.

Also in Co Meath, Ronald Duff & Associates sold two properties. A three-acre holding with old stone buildings at Assey, Bective, made £100,000, while a three-bedroom cottage on 31 acres at Kilbrew, Ashbourne, sold for £334,000.

In Co Louth, a 171-non residential farm at Tullydonnell, Dunleer, was sold in four lots for a total of £962,000 by Raymond Potterton.

In Co Westmeath, T.E. Potterton sold Wood House, on 14 acres at Clonyn, Delvin, Co Westmeath, at auction for £189,000.

A 52-acre non-residential farm at Newtown, Killeigh, Co Offaly, was sold at auction for £120,000 by Keegan Auctioneers.

In Co Wexford, a three-bedroom house with a converted four-bedroom stone house on 12.3 acres was sold at auction for £445,000 by Raymond E. Corish.

In Co Cork, a five-bedroom Georgian house on six acres situated about a mile outside Bantry was sold at auction for £610,000 by Key Properties.

Commercial

In Co Kildare, 17 acres of residential development land at Caragh Village, Naas, was sold at auction for £2.7 million through joint agents Colm McEvoy and Oliver Reilly.

In Slane, Co Meath, The Poets Rest public house was withdrawn at £500,000 by Gunne, which is quoting in the region of £600,000. A freehold retail/commercial property at 29 West Street, Drogheda, Co Louth, was sold at a Gunne auction for £440,000.

A former convent building, The Old Convent, at Ballingarry, Thurles, Co Tipperary, was withdrawn by Keane Mahony Smith, which is quoting £900,000.

In Bray, Co Wicklow, Lisney is seeking £775,000 for a 32-patient nursing home, Glenbervie Nursing Home on Sidmonton Road following its withdrawal from auction.

A residential/commercial development property occupying a site area of 2,000 sq ft at 43/44 Sandwith Street Upper, Dublin 2, was withdrawn at £220,000 by McNally Handy & Partners, which is quoting £250,000.

Also in Dublin 2, a retail/office investment property at 15 Upper Baggot Street, was withdrawn by DTZ Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting over £850,000.

In Dublin 8, 41 Harrington Street, a 2,538 sq ft terraced residential/office property was withdrawn by O'Connor Shannon, which is quoting £450,000.

Still in Dublin 8, a development opportunity with planning permission for commercial/residential use at 73 Meath Street was withdrawn at £230,000 by McNally Handy & Partners, which is quoting £250,000.

In Clontarf, Furlong's Spar store at 7 Vernon Avenue, was sold prior to auction by Gunne.
