A SITE for a drive-in restaurant off Fonthill Road, near Newlands Cross, Clondalkin, west Dublin, has been sold for about £400,000. Mason Owen Lyons had been quoting a guideline price of £250,000-plus for the site of less than half an acre, which has outline planning permission for a family restaurant including a take-away section.
With existing restaurants on or near the Naas Road trading well in recent years, the sale generated strong interest among restaurateurs. Fonthill Road is a continuation of the Belgard Road to the west of Newlands Cross and forms part of the Clondalkin by-pass.
