Hamilton Osborne King's property conference in Dublin last week urged developers and investors to look at the new development opportunities in hinterland areas of Dublin such as Navan, Balbriggan, Naas and Wicklow. According to HOK managing director, Aidan O'Hogan, these hinterland areas mirror the opportunities of the 1960s in the Dublin suburbs of Stillorgan and Blanchardstown. Another example cited was the value of sites surrounding the M50 which hardly moved during the construction of the ring road but almost doubled in value once it was completed.
