Describe the house

The Bungalow was built 15 years ago and is one of a kind in this estate. It has a large driveway with parking space for several cars.

The L-shaped entrance hall has a spiral staircase which leads up to the converted attic. This could be used for home office, play area or games room as it comprises two usable rooms. There is also a floored walk-in attic space for storage, over the lounge.

The lounge/diningroom has a large bay window and beech wooden floors. The kitchen is very spacious and has American red oak units. There is an adjoining sun room.

All three bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and the main bedroom is en suite.

The house has panelled doors throughout. There are double-glazed hardwood windows, gas central heating, solid beech wooden floors downstairs, ceramic tiles in the kitchen and sun-room and pine floors upstairs.

The mature garden has trees, shrubs and a large lawn. There is a patio area at the front of the house and behind the garage. There is a utility room at the rear of the garage with built-in kitchen units, a freezer and a clothes dryer.

Why are you moving?

Our two sons have grown up and we want to spend less time gardening and more time out on our motorbike with our friends in the motorbike and touring clubs. We have built a new house around the corner with a small patio garden, so we can still enjoy our walks on the prom in Bray.

The best thing about it

It is a very bright, well-built, spacious house, in a really quiet, small cul-de-sac of only nine houses. It is an easy walk to Bray town centre, the Dart station and for leisurely walks on the seafront. We loved the garden and used to grow soft fruit and vegetables every year, but have now turned that area into a large lawn. It is a great space for BBQs and parties.

We made great use of the attic conversion as the boys used to watch TV or play video games with their friends when they were younger. The other room was used to design and make radio-controlled model aircraft, so someone with a hobby like that might enjoy the space.

The neighbourhood

The Bungalow is in a really quiet neighbourhood and whoever buys it would enjoy the garden, and walks down to Bray.

Who would like to live in your home?

A family with teenage children would really enjoy the house. Or it would suit someone who needs a home office as the attic is a great space to work in. The Bungalow might also suit a retired couple whose family have grown up and who want to trade down from a very large house to a bungalow with a nice garden, in a quiet area.
