Blackrock site on one acre expected to make £2.75m-plus

A one-acre housing or apartment site opposite Newpark Comprehensive School at Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock, is expected to make in the region of £2.75 million when it is sold through Hooke & MacDonald Development Department and Harper O'Grady. The purchaser is likely to demolish two detached houses standing on the site. There is currently planning permission for four townhouses on a small part of the land but there is obvious scope for over 30 apartments subject to planning permission.

In Killiney DTZ Sherry FitzGerald is likely to secure over £1 million at auction for a site of 1.6 acres with planning permission for five large detached houses at Church Road. It is adjacent to the Kylemore Clinic. The agent estimates that the houses would sell for up to £700,000 each.

In Co Meath, agents T & G Gavigan are guiding over £2 million for six acres of development land at Ratoath. There is outline planning permission for 20 detached houses, 10 apartments, three terraced houses and three shops with overhead accommodation. The site goes to tender on October 19th.
