HEATONS is to open a BHS franchise store at the Market Cross shopping centre in Kilkenny. The company will be paying a rent of £95,000 a year for the 7,400-square-foot store in the two-level centre. It will also have 1,200 square feet of storage space. The store will carry a full range of BHS products. Heatons also operates a BHS outlet in Letterkenny, Co Donegal. Town and County Developments has now let 86 per cent of the retail space in the centre. Double rent allowances are still available to tenants who move in before the end of next July. The other anchor tenants are Superquinn and Penneys. Last year, Town and County sold 11 retail investments in the centre but still holds investments there worth around £3 million.
