Carrickmines from €390,000: Cairnbook, Carrickmines, Dublin 18, a development of 44 new homes, comprising eight large detached houses, six townhouses and 30 apartments is being launched today by Sherry Fitzgerald, with prices from €390,000 to €2.45 million.

Cairnbrook has the cachet of Carrickmines, while being a few minutes drive from the Kilternan exit of the M50. There are 195 housing units in the development. Phase one was launched last year and is sold out. Completions of this phase come on stream within the next few months.

The four and five-bedroom detached houses are from 222sq m (2,390sq ft) to 338sq m (3,580sq ft). The four-bed homes are priced from €1.85 million, with the larger five-beds from €2.45 million. The external finish, which combines red brickwork with pale granite banding and selected render, pays attention to traditional house designs locally.

A split level hall in the four reception room/five-bed show house leads to a vast living area spanning its width, including drawingroom, kitchen and turret-shaped breakfast area. The Bob Bushell kitchen offers the top-of-the-range looks and function you expect at this price tag. Upstairs three bedrooms are en suite, with bath and shower rooms featuring Phillipe Stark and Grohe sanitary ware.
