Such is the fame of the hyperactive Irish property market that one astute businesswoman - an Australian selling a property in Budapest - decided to put it on the market in Dublin.

Cynthia Balogh, back living in her native Australia after seven years in Budapest, has decided to sell her handsome property, right, in the centre of the Hungarian capital 10,000 miles away.

Her property consists of the first floor of one of the typical buildings downtown in Pest, the commercial side of the Danube, in the fifth district. The 310sq m (3,3336sq ft) accommodation is currently in offices but could be converted easily back to residences. There are two large rooms, a medium size-room, and another six smaller offices (formerly bedrooms). As a nod to the grandeur of the Hapsburg days, the main office sports a chandelier. There is another reception area, a kitchen, kitchenette, a bathroom and two separate toilets. Most of the rooms have a view over an internal courtyard.

Balogh is asking around €500,000 for the property. The rent to date is around €1,992 (500,000 HUF) a month.
