£3m quoted for 3.5-acre riverside site in Derry

One of the last remaining prime riverside development sites in the commercial heart of Derry has been bought on to the market with an asking price of around £3 million sterling. Northern agents O'Connor Kennedy Turtle are handling the sale of the 3.5-acre Foyle-side site, which is located on Strand Road beside the new 70,000 sq ft Sainsbury Store, which is due to open this Summer. The site is in the centre of an area which has seen some of the most rapid and dramatic property development in recent years. Strand Road has undergone major redevelopment, from the Guildhall in the centre of the city to the new civic offices and out towards the new Foyle Bridge. The sale is by tender, with a closing date of noon, Monday, June 21st.
