CO WEXFORD: FROM €169,500:A NEW RELEASE of homes at Courtown, Co Wexford, cost from €169,500

Riverchapel Wood is a scheme of around 300 homes built by Pat Neville Developments in 2005 on the southern edge of the holiday village of Courtown.

Now he is developing a new 200-unit segment of the scheme. Hooke & MacDonald will be opening new showhouses tomorrow.

There is a good mix of styles and prices on offer at the scheme. Two-bedroom houses with 85sq m (915sq ft) cost from €169,500. Three-bed houses with 96sq m (1,030sq ft) start from €191,500 and four-bed houses with 129sq m (1,055sq ft) are from €199,500).

Unusually in a modern new homes schemes, there are also three-bed detached houses which have 109sq m (1,090sq ft) and cost from €219,500.

The houses will be ready from this October and into spring 2009, according to the selling agent.

The scheme is being pitched at first-time buyers who are prepared to travel outside of Dublin to buy an affordable house. Courtown is on the north cost of Co Wexford and is three miles from Gorey and 55 miles from Dublin. The journey to Dublin has been much improved thanks to bypasses of Arklow and Ashford on the M1.
