New York Times writer Frank Bruni recently described his overnight stay in Gregan’s Castle as “a splurge worth every euro”.

With its elegant reception rooms, formal gardens and views of the Burren, the Ballyvaughan hotel has been hosting smart, intimate weddings for up to 75 people, and, bowing to demand, has now increased its capacity to 130. Bigger groups will be accommodated in a choice of either glass-sided or fabric-sided marquee. A stipulation of the booking will be that the bridal party take exclusive rental of the the hotel for two nights or more, making it a significant splurge indeed. See gregans.ie.
