Irish abroad: Tell us about your dads

In advance of Father’s Day, we’re asking readers overseas about their long-distance relationships

This Sunday is Father’s Day in Ireland, so Generation Emigration is asking readers overseas to tell us about their long-distance relationships with their dads.

What are your enduring memories of your father? How has moving away affected your relationship? Are you in regular contact, or do you find it difficult to communicate openly over the phone or by Skype or email? Do you keep in touch in a different way with your dad than with your mum? When do you miss him most?

You can send us your tributes and reflections by email (with a photo if you wish) to emigration@irishtimes.com, or by leaving a comment below this article. A selection will be published online before the weekend.
