Wear it out: Look super glamorous on a budget

Pops of vibrant colour to get us in a summery mood.

This week we met Hazel Farrell, the beautiful model/artist/clothing maker/designer. This multi-talented young woman has the top tips for looking great and not breaking the bank.

Faux fur scarf

Dunnes (I know!!!). I often overlook Dunnes as a place to go for your statement pieces but this blue scarf has proven me very wrong.

Their summer range is full of really interesting well designed pieces that are perfect for the summer wardrobe.

Best part of it is that a spree in Dunnes will leave you with plenty of cash to play around with and you can even take your granny for lunch in the food hall! Two birds one stone, thank me later!

Bag

Hazel sells handmade and preloved pieces on her personal Depop. For those of us in the dark, Depop is a great and easy way to shift unwanted pieces from your wardrobe and to pick up some gorgeous bits for next to nothing.

This customised purse is just one of the many beautiful pieces from Hazels collection.

Boots

YRU shoes are an American shoe company specialising in statement shoes. You are guaranteed to find a pair that no one else will have.

They are incredibly well priced and even if you get hit with a customs charge you will still be better off than if you bought boots on the high street.

Coat

Charity shops are still the bargainers’ mecca. They make have increased their prices in the past few years but go in for a proper root and you will be in for a treat.

I always recommend the ones outside the city centre as you have less competition out in the suburbs and wont have to tackle an art student for the perfect vintage jacket. Charity shop find, €12

Lipstick

Go for bright colours this spring, be brave with your make up and have every colour and every texture of lipstick you could ever dream of.

Pop in for a consultation in one of their stores, the assistants are always super helpful and you will pick up some great tips.

Also if you have 7 empty MAC containers you can trade them in for a free lipstick!
