THE next major auction of paintings to be held in this country looks like being the sale to be held by de Veres art auctions on June 11th in Dublin. Among the items already secured are two fine oils by Jack B. Yeats, which belonged to the late Mary Lavin, along with some important works from a major financial institution.
The latter includes two works by both Walter Osborne and Patrick Tuohy, as well as pictures by, among others, Mainie Jellett, William Scott, Roderic O'Conor, Nathaniel Hone and Gerard Dillon.
