Vin Diesel gets nominated as best actor for Fast & Furious, as does Shia LaBeouf for Eagle Eye,even though both movies were critically panned. Anne Hathaway is shortlisted as best actress, not for Rachel Getting Married, but for the fluffy Bride Wars. In the best picture category High School Musical 3: Senior Yearis slugging it out with Slumdog Millionaireand The Dark Knight. And former Bros member Luke Goss is a best villain contender for Hellboy II: The Golden Army.

The shortlisted smoochers for the hotly contested best kiss award are James Franco and Sean Penn ( Milk), Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens ( High School Musical 3), Freida Pinto and Dev Patel ( Slumdog Millionaire), Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy (Wanted), and Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson ( Twilight).
Needless to say, the tension will be unbearable until the awards are announced in Los Angeles on May 31st.
