Victorian D end dining table may fetch £5,000

AMONG some 600 lots, a mid Victorian telescopic D end dining table on hexagonal legs, and with three leaves, is expected to make £4,000-£5,000 at the John Ross & Co auction in Belfast next Thursday. A set of eight 19th century mahogany ladder back dining chairs, including two carvers, is set to sell for £2,500-£3,500, and a William IV davenport desk carries an estimate of £1,250-£1,500.

Other pre sale estimates include £2,000-£2,500 for a 19th century mahogany, bow end, breakfront sideboard, £2,000-£2,250 for a Regency chiffonier with brass grill doors and £800-£1,200 for a Georgian mahogany bureau. In addition, this auction will be offering paintings, silver and jewellery.
