The Swell Season

It's good to know that although they are no longer romantically involved, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova have managed to maintain a creative partnership under the moniker of Swell Season. The continuing fruits of this partnership – their second, contrarily titled collaboration, Strict Joy– will be released in the last week of October. For their forthcoming, quite brief Irish tour, Glen and Marketa will be joined by various members of The Frames, which might lead one to suspect that the two entities will become, for a while at least on stage, somewhat indivisible.

The tour continues the following week with dates in Wexford (Opera House, August 21), Cork (Everyman Palace Theatre, August 23), Clare (Glór Theatre, Ennis, August 24), and Dublin (National Concert Hall, August 26).
