The King will reign again

NORMALLY the Group Three Railway Stakes is overshadowed by the Derby, but tomorrow it takes on added significance when the potential new superstar King Of Kings makes his second race-course appearance.

Shouted to the skies before his debut in May at the Curragh as possibly the next Nijinsky, King Of Kings put up the sort of performance that made the hype seem almost understated when he won by eight lengths.

Today he takes on five opponents, three of them stable companions, and as it will be a huge shock if the Sadlers Wells colt is beaten, probably even more attention will be placed in his disposition beforehand. King Of Kings did look to get a little hot before his first start, but even if he does something similar again, tomorrow's race should still fall into his lap before he ventures on to better things.

The nap, however, goes to Wixim in the American Bowl International Stakes. Only Aidan O'Brien's Crown Regent represents the home team against five British raiders, and while Gothenberg will be fancied to follow up his success in this last year, Wixim looks the best of the invaders.

The other Group race on the card is the Waterford Crystal Curragh Cup, and this looks good for French Ballerina,
