One extremely positive nugget in the Estimates is an 18 per cent increase in funding for the Film Board, bringing the annual figure to over £4 million. This is in line with Minister de Valera's very public commitment to the film industry. When you consider that the board was axed in the not too distant past, and had to be reformed by Michael D. Higgins, it is good to see that there is such support for it now.
