Strahan table in clearance auction

BRAY auctioneers, H.J. Byrne, will hold a house contents auction at Bella Vista, a large Victorian house on the Bray seafront next Wednesday.

The owner of the three storey house is moving to an apartment, and so most of the larger pieces of furniture are for sale, including a rosewood circular table by Strahan, which could fetch up to £3,500.

A mahogany display cabinet with shaped glazed doors carries the label of Miller & Beatty, a company that sold high quality reproduction furniture from its, showrooms on Graft on Street earlier this century. It is estimated to fetch £2,000-£2,500.

Other lots include Victorian couches and armchairs.
