A Victorian walnut show-frame three-seater conversation sofa, believed to have come from the Parnell home, Avondale, in Co Wicklow, is included in a sale at Drums of Malahide next week. The piece, which comes from a part-house clearance of a family home in Sutton, carries an estimate of £1,000-£1,500. So too does both a Sheraton cabinetmaker's sideboard with two long side cabinets flanking the central drawers, and also a French gilt Napoleon III drawing-room suite. There are a selection of Georgian mahogany linen presses ranging in estimate from £500 to £1,500, an inlaid Edwardian single-door corner cabinet and a Nelson sidetable. These last two have the same estimate of £600-£800. The sale is scheduled for next Thursday at 7 p.m.
