CUT COPY Going Nowhere Modular ****

The Melbourne electro indie trio are here, there and everywhere thanks to the success of their Bright Like Neon Love album. Here's a shifty disco-punk anthem that blends early New Order with Yellow Magic Orchestra, with a little U2-ish break thrown in. Nowhere's not on the itinerary.

BECK Hell Yes (remixed) Interscope ***

Not content with giving us the fab Guero album, Beck is bringing out its baby brother Guerolito, an album of remixes that includes this one by 8bit. Just say si, kids.

MOBY Slipping Away Mute ***

"Hold on to people, they're slipping away". Good advice from the diminutive dance-pop maestro - I'm going to text someone right now. What, meet them in person? Sure I'm far too busy for that. And besides, there'll be lots of time to catch up when we're all in heaven.

SWAY Little Derek Dcypha ***

Sway DaSafo is the hottest new Brit-hopper on the block, and here's his theme tune, the story of a cocky young rapper who's got the bling and the beats to take on the US crew. He's also got those Snoop whoops going on - ooh, suits you, Sway.

STARSAILOR This Time EMI ***

"There's gonna be some blood," cries James Walsh on this tune that could well have been inspired by their time locked in the studio with "mad" producer Phil Spector. The b-side is their version of Sugababes' Push the Button - enough with the ironic covers, already.

FERRY CORSTEN Fire Positiva **

Is that Simon Le Bon's weak little whine trying to break through the trance beats and synth layers? The Ferry-man pays tribute to Duran Duran, turning a sample from Serious into the year's first big club anthem. Couldn't he have beefed up the vocals a bit while he was at it?

YOUNG JEEZY Soul Survivor feat Akon Def Jam **

The Hotlanta businessman-turned-rapper has hit Number 2 in the US charts with his debut album, Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101, and here he gets together with Senegalese star Akon of Lonely and Belly Dancer fame for this joint about keeping it real on the streets. Not too cheesy, Jeezy.
