HERMAN & Wilkinson have a busy week coming up on Tuesday they are conducting a house contents sale in Blackrock. Number 12 Sydney Avenue, off Mount Merrion Avenue, sold at auction last week for £348,000. Now much of the contents, which have been in the family for over 60 years, are for sale.
It ems include several Victorian chests and tables, wardrobes and bedroom furniture. A good Victorian what not is estimated at £400-£600 and a Vienna wall clock has the same price. The contents will be on view next Monday, from 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
On the following evening there will be a sale of unredeemed pledges in Herman & Wilkinson's Rathmines rooms on behalf of Carthy Jewellers of Marlboro Street. A selection of gold and silver jewellery will be auctioned along with musical instruments and hand tools. Viewing starts at 1 p.m. on the day.
On Thursday they will hold the usual sale of over 500 lots of furniture and bric-a-brac.
