Marriage Equality, the organisation dedicated to narrowing the gap between marriage and civil partnerships, plans to make a short film on the issue.

Says chairwoman Grainne Healy, “The film has become even more important with the passing of the Finance Act, as it highlights one of the many ways that same-sex couples, our families and our children are treated differently and less than equal to married heterosexual families.”

Marriage Equality has raised €1,075 so far. A further €1,862 is required to get the film before the public. If you are interested in helping out, see marriagequality.ie.
