Parnell Summer School

THE sylvan setting of Parnell's ancestral home, Avondale, in Rathdrum, Co Wicklow is the venue for the summer school which begins on Sunday. This year's theme is the Irish Diaspora. Highlights include Wednesday's symposium on The Impact of Emigration on Ireland, which will be addressed by James Downey, Sean Duignan, Eoghan Harris, Senators Joe O'Toole and Marian McGennis.
