Next Wednesday, John Ross & Co of Belfast will be selling 285 lots from the studio of Maurice Canning Wilks on the company's premises. The auction brings together oil paintings, watercolours and drawings spanning 50 years of the artist's life.
Included are many preliminary drawings for familiar finished works of scenes in the Glens of Antrim, Donegal, Connemara and Dublin Bay. All lots will be offered without reserve and are expected to make from £50 to £5,000. The sale starts at 7 p.m.
