. Feile an Phobail: Human rights lawyer, Paula McBride will give the P.J. McGrory Memorial Lecture in St Agnes Parish Centre, west Belfast on Saturday at 1.30 p.m. The Century Steel Band, More Power to your Elbow and Brush Shiels will perform at the Feile an Phobail finale in St Paul's Park at 6 p.m.

. O'Carolan Harp Festival: The 4th annual Keadue Song Contest in this Co Roscommon village on Saturday at 8 p.m. is one of the final events in this year's festival.

. W.B. Yeats Summer School:

Professor Thomas Flanagan, author of The Year of the French and Tenants (of Time, will read from his work in Sligo Town Hall on Sunday at 8.30 p.m. Lectures continue until the end of next week.
