Third time lucky for Crayonsmith

A fundraising gig for Dublin band Crayonsmith’s third album will take place at Whelan’s later this month

A fundraising gig for Dublin band Crayonsmith’s third album will take place at Whelan’s later this month. Staged by Limerick-based independent label Out on a Limb, who also released Crayonsmith’s last, critically acclaimed album, White Wonder, in 2008 – the trio will headline the Upstairs @ Whelan’s venue on July 20th. Support comes from label-mate Owensie and our new favourite band, Ginnels, while the post-live music sounds are courtesy of DJ sets by No Monster Club, Squarehead and Magic Pockets. The plan is for the album to be recorded this summer and released towards the end of the year.

That's not all Out on a Limb has planned for the summer, however. On Saturday, August 11th they will host their second all-day summer party at Dolan's, Limerick with live music from their new signing Jogging, The Jimmy Cake, So Cow, Elk, and more. outonalimbrecords.com
