Two heads are often better than one, as heavyweight hip-hop mavericks Killer Mike and El-P demonstrated on the former's R.A.P. Music album, which features superb production handiwork from the latter. This new free-to-download album is a collection of rich, energised high watermark moments showing that Jigga and Ye aren't the only rappers who combine forces. there's value to be had from El-P's turns at the microphone as he delivers a slew of abstract science, but he's at his best slinging grimy, punchy, crunchy beats. Killer Mike's rumbustious, dense and fiery flow wins the battle of the MCs, with the big man from Atlanta's zingers, quotable lines and hardchaw grandstanding quite a joy.
