Few will begrudge Catherine Britton her time in the sun. The British DJ and producer (below), now living in Amsterdam, has found her groove over the years via a wave of releases for some of minimal’s leading stables and collaborations with the scene’s bigger stars.

Leaving aside the namedropping (Ricardo Villalobos. Luciano, Steve Bug, Cocoon, Ostgut Tom, Perlon etc), it’s Cassy’s time at the helm at Berlin’s Berghain and its sister-ship, Panorama Bar, as well as her new residencies at Trouw in Amsterdam and Rex in Paris, which have embellished her rep in clubland.

A night out with Cassy on the decks is a trip into house and techno nirvana, with the DJ putting the dancefloor squarely at the heart of her grooves.
