Pop Corner: Taylor Swift wants an honorary doctorate degree, because Ed Sheeran has one

Sorry Beyonce, but the Track of the Week is from Billie Marten

TRACK OF THE WEEK
Billie Marten - Milk and Honey
Blimey, Billie Marten (real name Isabella Tweddle), is 16. It would be easy to draw comparisons with early Laura Marling. But unlike Marling's, Marten's voice lacks cynicism. Hers is like the soft unfurling of the first flowers of spring. On Milk and Honey she gently chides a loved one for always wanting more. "I'm just content with time well spent," she sings, "but all you want is milk, more than you can drink."

Hero of the week is Leigh-Anne of Little Mix, who has branched out into blogging. She told 1883 about her blog – Leigh Loves – "I started over a year ago, I've always been into fashion but it's not just about that, it's a lifestyle blog too, because me and my boyfriend love to travel and see new things and try new food so I thought why not try and blog about it and tell everybody what I'm doing. I started off with the fashion and went onto the travel side but I really enjoy doing it. I used to do creative writing and English for my A-levels and I love writing so I thought I'll have a crack at it!"

Taylor Swift's got her sights set on university, she told Vogue. Well, kind of. "I really want an honorary doctorate degree, because Ed Sheeran has one and I feel like he looks down on me now, because I don't have one." But she's in no rush. "I just decided that after the past year, with all of the unbelievable things that happened, I decided I was going to live my life a little bit without the pressure on myself to create something."

Zero of the week is touring, The Vamps explain. They get lonely, you see. Tristan Evans told Candy magazine, "What do I miss most when I'm away from home . . . my little sausage dog and my studio . . . my home and my family."
