Do you have the post-Picnic blues? Reluctant to pack away your wellies and tent for another year? In that case, a trip to Sligo might be right up your grass-trampled pathway this weekend, as the first Temple House festival takes place.

A primarily Irish line-up will be spread across four stages, including headliners The Undertones, Donal Dineen and The Wailers. Meanwhile, acts such as The Stunning, The Walls, Reef and The Saw Doctors hark back to the days of Féile. There will also be DJ sets by ex-New Order bassist Peter Hook and Specials frontman Terry Hall, as well as performances by O Emperor, 202s and R.S.A.G., plus a silent disco.

Organiser and Temple House proprietor Roderick Perceval said that they were well prepared for the bad weather forecasts, and that it would not affect the mostly sheltered site, or the atmosphere of the festival. Bus Éireann are operating services to the event, and the nearest train station (Ballymote) is just seven minutes away.
